The story behind the Smile!

Where It All Began

  • Melbourne, FL
  • Year: 2000
Some of my earliest experiences in dentistry started long before I understood what a career was. Most afternoons after school and many weekends were spent in my dad’s office, helping wherever I could. I fed charts, cleaned chairs, and helped set up operatories. As I grew more comfortable, I became my dad’s assistant.

I had no experience and no real understanding at the time. I just remember thinking:

I get to be

like Dad!

The Injury that changed it all

  • Melbourne, FL
  • Year: April 2003

While at a celebration in a park, I was sprinting, completely in the moment, when I caught a low hanging chain and fell face first onto the pavement. In an instant, everything shifted. My teeth changed dramatically, and for the first time, I became aware of my smile in a way I never had before.

It wasn’t the pain that stayed with me. It was how visible it felt.

When I was brought to an orthodontist, I was simply told that braces were the next step. I walked in without really knowing what that would mean for me, especially at that age. I was open to it, but unaware of how much it would change.

As treatment progressed, I began to notice small shifts, not just in my smile, but in my face and the way I carried myself. It happened gradually, almost without me realizing it.

It wasn’t until my braces came off that everything fully set in. I remember feeling a genuine sense of excitement seeing the transformation for the first time!

People started complimenting me for something I was once ashamed of:

My SMILE!

That realization stayed with me. Something that felt so negative had become something positive.

Orthodontics didn’t just change my smile. It changed how I saw myself.

At such a young age I felt this strong passion to help others feel the same transformation I experienced. It was from this moment I knew my goal:

Become an Orthodontist!

The foundation behind my approach

  • Year: 2010’s
As I grew older, I became more intentional about preparing for the future I had set for myself. I leaned into design, art, and technology, knowing they would shape how I think and approach problems.

At the same time, I continued working in my dad’s practice, staying hands-on and learning dentistry from the inside out. I wasn’t just observing anymore. I was listening, understanding, and experiencing what it truly means to care for people day in and day out.

Those experiences shaped how I approach care today, with a focus on detail, communication, and a thoughtful, patient-centered experience.

The foundation behind my approach

I earned my Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University, where I built a strong clinical foundation and developed a deep understanding of patient care.

Where everything came together

The Ortho Co.

After years of experience, training, and understanding what truly shapes a patient’s experience, I set out to create something of my own.

I wanted to build a practice that reflected everything I had learned, not just clinically, but personally. A place where care feels thoughtful, communication feels clear, and every detail is designed with intention.

The Ortho Co. was created to bring together modern orthodontic treatment with a more personalized, patient-centered approach.

Because orthodontics is not just about straightening teeth. It’s about confidence, comfort, and creating an experience that feels as good as the result itself.
